Boogie Lab
One of the best brunch places in Zagreb. Located around 10-15 mins walk from the main square, Boogie Lab has that rare balance of chill atmosphere and seriously good food. The brunch menu leans creative, think omelette with adriatic shrimp, tuna pate or just a classic eggs benedict with prosciutto thrown in there. But where they actually shine is their pastries. Their pistachio croissant? Dangerous. I once ordered it to-go, made it 20 meters down the street, and turned around to get a second one. No regrets.
Place is quite big and people there linger for hours with their laptops out, I think you cannot go wrong with this one. If you come on the weekend, expect a short wait, but it’s worth it.
Located right on the popular Dolac market, Broom 44 feels like the brunch version of sunshine, bright, simple, and always packed. It’s one of those cafés where everything is photogenic but not in a try-hard way. The menu is mostly Mediterranean-inspired and it’s changed seasonally, everything is locally sourced and eggs are free range.
What I like most is the vibe, it’s upbeat without being loud, and the service is quick even when they’re busy. I once came here mid-week just to grab coffee and ended up staying two hours with a shakshuka and my laptop, it has that kind of pull.
Melt started as a dessert café, and you can still tell, the pancakes and waffles are ridiculous (in the best way). But they’ve evolved into one of the most popular brunch spots in Zagreb, especially on weekends.

Salo is the cool kid of Zagreb brunch, creative, local, a bit unpredictable. The interior feels like a mix of a deli and a design studio, and the menu changes often. They have a fantastic selection of regional, modern, and traditional dishes. You’ll find homemade focaccia, seasonal ingredients, and a mix of Croatian and Mediterranean influences.
If you’re bored of the same avocado-toast routine, this is where you go. The vibe’s relaxed but the food is seriously good, and their coffee is probably the best on the list.
Even if you’re not vegan, Superplanty deserves a spot on your radar. Everything is 100% plant-based, fresh, and made with real flavor, think tofu scrambles, smoothie bowls (seriously good), and homemade granola that doesn’t taste like bird food.
The atmosphere is relaxed and quiet + service is really nice. Also a good spot to work on your laptop, if that’s your thing. Definitely one of the best vegan brunches in Zagreb.
